The City’s General Fund provides funding to ensure that CPD’s staff receives the standardized training provided through California Police Officer Standardized Training (POST). CPF raises money to supplement that funding, ensuring that CPD’s staff have specialized training available to support their long-term mental health and that CPD provides policing that matches the community’s values.
