    Shelly Vander Veen, CPF CEO

    Dedicating 29 years to the Claremont Police Department and retiring as Police Chief in 2021, Shelly achieved a groundbreaking rise through the ranks. She set a historic milestone as the department's first female promoted above Corporal. Living in Claremont for six years, her contributions have deeply enriched the community's tapestry.

    Joyce Sauter, CPF President

    With over five decades as a Claremont resident, Joyce is a pillar of community service. She's volunteered with notable programs such as CLASP, CHAP, and Meals-On-Wheels, and has also taken active roles in the Police Department's Community Patrol and local hospice care.

    Helaine Goldwater, CPF Vice-President

    A resident of Claremont for over 50 years and a business owner for four decades, Helaine has dedicated herself to enriching her community. As the first-ever Chairperson of the Claremont Police Commission, she's also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, AYSO, and Little League while serving on Claremont school committees, CERT, and the Police Department's Community Patrol.

    Deborah Robinson, CPF Secretary

    With a spirit of giving that enriches her community, Deborah has been an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and at the Joslyn Senior Center. A devoted Claremont resident for 44 years, her presence has become as enduring and cherished as the local landmarks she loves.

    Bill Buehler, CPF Treasurer

    Serving 20 years as a volunteer engineer with the Mt. Baldy Fire Department while also employed by the U.S. Dept. of Treasury, Bill later became a self-employed tax consultant. As the Inland Empire Area Coordinator for "Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors," he's been instrumental in helping the organization raise over $3M for the cause. An Air Force veteran, he's also been an officer in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corp for the last seven years. A Claremont resident for 27 years, Bill's multifaceted contributions are a testament to his commitment to community and service.

With over 25 years of experience in Marketing, Corporate Operations, and Retail Management, Jose Vera takes pride in his unwavering commitment to excellence and precision. He cherishes supporting and volunteering for organizations like APLA, Foothill Aids Foundation, Claremont Art Walk, and the Claremont Lewis Museum of Art. He also maintains active membership in professional organizations like the Graphic Artists Guild and AIGA Los Angeles.
